But it does something else too — the pressure reveals weak spots, hollow sections, and failing areas that aren’t visible to the eye until water is forced against them. This is why we call it a stress test, not just a wash.

Before any repair or coating work begins, all landscaping, windows, doors, AC units, light fixtures, and hardscape are masked and covered. This is the step most painters skip — and the one that defines whether your stucco paint job lasts. Our elastomeric base coat is applied at 10–20 mils of dry film thickness, four to five times thicker than standard paint. It bridges remaining hairline cracks, creates a continuous waterproof membrane, and is selected specifically for a high Perm-Rating — allowing the stucco to breathe while remaining 100% waterproof.

Every elevation is inspected systematically under raking light for holidays, thin spots, and caulk line quality before we consider the job complete. All masking is removed, the property is cleaned, and a final walkthrough is conducted with you before we pack up. We don’t consider the job done until you do — and your property leaves cleaner than we found it.

When you receive a stucco painting estimate, look for all six steps listed explicitly. If the estimate says “paint stucco home, two coats” without specifying crack repair, elastomeric base coat, re-caulking, and product names — those steps aren’t in the scope.
