The painters were super polite and the work was completely expertly. They used a high quality paint and were fast and efficient. We did the whole house with one color and they did a portion of the ceiling. The pricing was fair and they matched a competitor. Highly recommended!Posted on Google Nancy MannTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had 3 bathrooms skim coated and painted. Billy and Michael did a very professional job, walls, trim, doors look fabulous!Posted on Google Kim NTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently hired A New Leaf Painting to paint the interior of our home. It took about 4 days for Billy and Mike to complete the job (even the 20 foot walls - on a ladder!). I cannot say enough about how happy i am with their work! Billy and Mike arrived at 7:00am each morning to start working, they cleaned up after themselves , moved furniture for us, AND even fixed our front door that had been “dragging” without being asked! The communication that took place each day was also great! I love how our home looks and i will definitely refer the company to friends!! Thank you, A New Leaf!!Posted on Google Thom EhrhardtTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Could not be happier. Great crew, and kept me informed throughout. Weather was unpredictable the whole time, but they painted when it was dry, and protected areas when it wasn't. Detailed trim work is perfect, and their clean up was flawless. Outstanding. We interviewed three companies (a fourth never showed up). Price was competitive, but the thorough presentation, and explanation of the entire process, sold us on A New Deal Painting.Posted on Google Mary HTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After having several rooms painted a couple of month ago, I decided to have A New Leaf Painting return to my home to paint the rest of the interior of my home. I’m very pleased with the results, again. I’m very particular about painting, I want perfect lines and no mess. They do excellent work! I had a total of 4 contractors give me bids and they were the only one who measured the room and had specifics in the contract. ( from painting crown molding to paint colors per room, etc..). If you want quality and a professional job- call A New Leaf Painting return.Posted on Google K ETrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thomas Drake, the owner came out in person and provided a free estimate to remove wallpaper and repaint my Moms master and guest bathrooms. He emailed me the quote the same day. He was very courteous and thorough. The quote was reasonable so we scheduled the work. His crew arrived on time and did a fantastic job removing the wallpaper and painting the walls. They completed the job in 2 days. The crew was experienced, courteous, friendly and hardworking. I highly recommend A New Leaf Painting and will use them again for any future paint work.

Cabinet Painting & Refinishing · Jacksonville, FL
Cabinet painting can be an excellent option when the boxes and components are suitable for refinishing. It keeps a layout you already like, avoids a demolition timeline, and changes the character of a kitchen substantially.
But the result depends heavily on what's already on the cabinets. The existing finish, its condition, how well a new coating will bond to it, and the coating system selected all determine how the work holds up. Not every cabinet system is automatically a candidate for painting — and that's a determination made by looking at the cabinetry, not by assuming.
Often a Good Candidate
•Cabinet boxes that are structurally sound
•A layout you're happy with and don't want to change
•Dated stained wood cabinets
•Previously painted cabinets that can be properly prepared
•Bathroom vanities and powder-room cabinetry
•Built-ins, bookcases and islands
•Selected cabinet sections rather than a whole kitchen
Evaluate First
•Severe water damage to boxes or door panels
•Cabinet material that has failed or deteriorated
•Doors or boxes damaged beyond practical repair
•Extensive substrate failure beneath the existing finish
•Major layout changes you actually want
•Cabinetry you fundamentally want redesigned rather than refreshed
These aren't automatic disqualifications. Some can be addressed as repairs within a refinishing scope — it depends on the extent and where the damage is.
Cabinet painting is different from painting drywall. Cabinets are handled constantly, wiped down regularly, and viewed from a few inches away — so adhesion, surface smoothness and coating durability matter far more than they do on a wall.
The sequence below is the general shape of the work. What's actually required on any given kitchen depends on the cabinet material, the existing coating, how well a new coating will bond to it, surface contamination, any damage present, the finish you want and the coating system selected.
Evaluate the Existing Finish
Before anything else, we look at what's on the cabinets now — whether it's a factory finish, a stain and topcoat, a previous paint job, laminate or thermofoil — and what condition it's in. This determines nearly everything that follows.
Protection & Setup
Countertops, backsplashes, appliances, flooring and adjacent rooms are masked and protected. Hardware is removed and kept organized. Doors and drawer fronts are typically taken off and labeled so they return to the same openings.
Cleaning & Degreasing
Kitchen cabinets accumulate cooking residue, oils and cleaning-product film — most heavily around the range and the frequently used doors. A coating applied over that residue bonds to the residue rather than to the cabinet. This step isn't optional on a kitchen.
Surface Preparation
Sanding or scuffing may be appropriate depending on the existing finish, both to establish a profile the new coating can grip and to smooth the surface. How much is needed varies considerably between a stained wood cabinet, a previously painted one and a laminate face.
Repairs & Defect Correction
Dents, chips, separated joints, worn edges and damaged areas are addressed where they can be. A coating shows a defect rather than hiding it, so anything that will be visible under the finish gets handled first.
Primer Where Required
A bonding primer may be needed depending on the substrate and the existing coating — particularly on laminate, thermofoil, slick factory finishes or where tannin bleed from certain woods is a concern. It isn't a universal step. The substrate decides.
Coating Application
Doors, drawer fronts, face frames, boxes, end panels and built-ins each get coated in the way that suits them. Cabinet-specific coatings are formulated for hard, cleanable surfaces that get handled daily — which is a different requirement than a wall paint is designed to meet.
Reassembly & Final Review
Doors and drawer fronts go back to their labeled openings, hardware is reinstalled, protection comes down, and we walk the kitchen with you before the project is called complete.
Laminate and thermofoil cabinets have their own considerations. Our guide to painting laminate cabinets covers what's different about those surfaces.
Cabinet painting is priced by the work involved rather than by square footage, and two kitchens of the same size can differ substantially. These are the factors that move the number:
Scope & Scale
Number of cabinet doors and drawer fronts · cabinet box and face-frame area · overall kitchen size · whether an island, built-ins or a bathroom vanity are included · whether cabinet interiors are in scope
Condition & Preparation
The existing finish and its condition · how much cleaning and degreasing is needed · sanding or scuffing required · repairs to doors, boxes or joints · whether a bonding primer is called for
Finish & Access
The coating system specified · how significant the color change is · sheen selected · project access and setup requirements · how much of the kitchen has to be protected

Contractors scope cabinet work differently, so a written proposal is the only reliable way to compare two of them. A clear estimate should identify:
✔Which cabinet areas are included
✔Doors and drawer fronts included
✔Face frames and boxes included
✔Whether interiors are included or excluded
✔Preparation scope
✔Repairs and how they're handled
✔Primer where required
✔Coating manufacturer and product
✔Application method where specified
✔Scope of applications where appropriate
✔Hardware removal and reinstallation
✔Protection of surrounding surfaces
✔Cleanup
✔Written warranty where applicable
