Both homes were completed by A New Leaf Painting Contractors as part of our professional exterior painting services in Jacksonville, FL. The conditions and scope differed between them, and each project is described here based on the work performed and what the photos show.

Hampton Park Exterior Painting Project #1

This Hampton Park home’s stucco exterior started with a warm neutral finish. Before repainting, the exterior showed noticeable weathering and fading, along with caulking needs at exterior joints and transitions that required attention during preparation. The completed project gave the home a new color palette and crisp white trim, creating a dramatic transformation across the front, side, and rear elevations — including the garage door.

Before & After #3 — Even the rear wall near the utility meter and electrical panel received the full repaint.

Preparation Before Painting

Before repainting, our team pressure washed the exterior and completed the stucco preparation needed to create a sound surface for the new coating system. This included extensive exterior caulking and sealing at joints, transitions, cracks, and other areas requiring attention before painting.

This preparation is especially important on weathered Florida stucco. Rather than simply applying new paint over the existing exterior, the goal was to address the visible surface conditions first and prepare the home for a complete repaint.

Exterior Coating System

For the stucco body and trim, our team used a Sherwin-Williams® exterior coating system incorporating Loxon® XP and Latitude®. The soffits and fascia were finished with Sherwin-Williams® Pro Industrial® coatings appropriate for those surfaces.

The combination allowed the coating system to be matched to the different exterior substrates rather than treating every surface of the home exactly the same.

Hampton Park Exterior Painting Project #2

Our second Hampton Park project was another complete exterior repaint, but with its own existing conditions and architectural details. The exterior showed considerable weathering, along with caulking and preparation needs that had to be addressed before the new coating system was applied. The before-and-after comparisons show the transformation across the front, side, and rear elevations — not just the street-facing portion of the home.

Preparation Before Painting

The second Hampton Park home also required thorough preparation before the finish coatings were applied. Our crew pressure washed the exterior, prepared the stucco surfaces, and completed the necessary caulking and sealing throughout the painting scope.

Special attention was given to joints, transitions, cracks, and other areas where the existing exterior needed attention before repainting. Once preparation was complete, the different exterior surfaces were coated with products selected for their specific application.

Exterior Coating System

This Hampton Park exterior was painted using Sherwin-Williams® Loxon® XP and Latitude® on the stucco body and trim, with Sherwin-Williams® Pro Industrial® used on the soffits and fascia.

Using different coatings where appropriate allowed our team to build the exterior painting system around the home’s actual surfaces rather than relying on a single product for every part of the exterior.

What These Two Hampton Park Exterior Projects Had in Common

Different homes, different starting points, different finished colors — but both projects followed the same underlying approach. The existing exterior condition determined the scope, not a one-size-fits-all checklist. Every elevation was completed, not just the ones visible from the street. And what shows up in the after photos is only possible because of preparation that doesn’t show up in any photo at all.

The finished paint is what everyone sees. The before photos show why the preparation underneath it matters.

If your own home is showing signs of chalking, fading, or coating deterioration rather than simply needing a color update, our real East Hampton project walks through what exterior paint chalking looks like and why it matters before repainting. And if you’ve noticed one side of your home fading faster than the rest, see our guide on why one side of a Jacksonville house fades faster than the others.
