Tips for a photo that paints well

Inside

  • Shoot in daylight, with the room lights on.
  • Stand back far enough to get the whole wall in.
  • Hold the phone level and face the wall straight on.
  • Take pictures and clutter off the walls you want to try.

Outside

  • A bright, overcast day is best: no hard shadows across the front.
  • Stand across the street or at the end of the drive to get the whole house.
  • Keep cars and trash cans out of the shot.
  • Face the house straight on rather than from a sharp angle.
