Project Spotlight · Orange Park Watermill
Orange Park Watermill, Orange Park, FL 32073
This Jacksonville exterior painting project involved a home that had been neglected for approximately 20 years and developed serious stucco problems as a result. During preparation, our team uncovered extensive stucco damage, loose and delaminated stucco, deteriorated wall areas, and damaged OSB sheathing that had to be repaired before the home could be properly repainted. After two decades of weather exposure and deferred maintenance, this was far more than a cosmetic repaint. The project required substantial repair work to restore the failed areas and create a sound surface for the new exterior coating system. Project Type: Exterior House Painting & Stucco Repair Location: Jacksonville, FL Primary Surface: Stucco Problems Found: Stucco delamination, loose stucco, moisture damage, rotted OSB sheathing Repairs: Stucco removal and restoration, OSB/sheathing repair, wood rot repair, surface preparation, priming Final Work: Complete exterior repaint

Why This Matters On stucco homes, bubbling paint, bulging stucco, hollow-sounding areas, cracking, or loose sections can point to problems beneath the surface. Simply applying new paint over failed stucco does not restore the bond or correct damaged materials underneath. This project is a good example of why proper inspection and repair can be just as important as the final coating system. After the damaged materials were removed, repaired, and properly prepared, the home was professionally repainted for a cleaner, more uniform exterior finish. The finished result restored the appearance of the home while addressing the underlying stucco and sheathing issues that had to be corrected first.
