What we found
- The home was in generally decent condition but had not been painted in about ten years. The exterior showed fading, chalking, mildew, hairline stucco cracks, and deteriorated caulking.
- Chalking leaves a powdery residue on the surface. Before repainting, that residue needs attention so the new coating is applied to a suitably prepared surface. Cracks and failed caulk joints also require evaluation rather than simply being painted over.
- This project called for routine stucco preparation and maintenance—not extensive restoration. No wood repairs were needed.
